Win Tickets to See the Used!

One lucky winner wins tickets and more to see the Used at House of Blues on April 3

If you’re like us, one thing’s for sure: You don’t like to be used. But if we’re talkin’ free tickets … go on. In this case, it’s not a matter of being used -- but rather a case of seeing the Used. Big difference, right?

We keep rolling out the giveaways in 2015 and this one will highly appeal to fans of the aforementioned post-hardcore screamo band. One lucky winner gets four (yep, count ‘em) tickets to see the Used at the House of Blues on April 3, along with – and check this part out – four passes (yep, count ‘em) to a meet-and-greet with the band and dinner for four at the venue ($150 value).

Admit it: We just made your day. Tickets, a meet-and-greet and dinner for four? One person is going to be crazy popular with their friends when we draw a winner. Oh, and in case you were wondering – the Used ain’t the only big time player on the bill that night! They’re bringin’ their friends Every Time I Die, Marmozets, and the Eeries along for the ride. Four crazy rad bands, a chance to take selfies with Bert McCracken and all the grub you and your friends can scarf down before the show? Being used has never felt so good.

Living under a rock and unfamiliar with the Used? Well, they formed in 2001 and hail originally from Orem, Utah – and rose to national prominence with the release of their 2002 self-titled album and its huge singles, “A Box Full of Sharp Objects,” “The Taste of Ink,” “Buried Myself Alive,” and “Blue and Yellow.” The band was pretty much everywhere after that: Ozzfest, the Warped Tour, near-constant MTV rotation – they even joined Blink-182’s Tom DeLonge (who’s been in the news lately) and his other other band Boxcar Racer on their first and only tour.

After a personal tragedy befell McCracken in 2004, the Used released “In Love and Death” later that year, which ended up going gold and resulted in three more singles and various award nominations. Three studio records later, they’ve emerged with “Imaginary Enemy,” their new 2014 album that has them sounding as vibrantly ferocious as ever. The band is always a thrill to behold live, with their kick-in-the-teeth energy and old school punk-rock style performances.

In other words, the Used are the real deal. Do yourself a favor and enter now for your chance to win big!
