This Saturday, September 11, 2010, the San Diego Sports Arena will gather some of the world's most renowned DJs at Abstract Fest. These progressive DJs / producers include Major Lazer, RUSKO, and Claude VonStroke -- all making their way from NYC to the best coast, for this massive event.
Abstract Festival headliner, Major Lazer, consisting of Mad Decent masterminds, Diplo and Switch, throw down eclectic, Caribbean-minded, dancehall beats. Having produced some of the most fanatically remixed and ubiquitous tracks of 2010 -- including their massive sonic launch of Pon de Floor -- these two forward-thinking, and unbelievably talented producers, craft outstanding dance music. Major Lazer's live show mixes wildly infectious dance beats with a artistic, mond-numbing visual performances.
RUSKO, a 25 year old, fiery ginger out of the UK, is crowned the dubstep world's up-and-coming hero of rageworthy "whomps". Producing jams with a high-octane, rambunctious, Sex Pistols attitude, expect only the highest grade of off-the-wall energy and heavy, bass-laden beats from RUSKO. Rounding out the headliners, San Fran-based founder of Dirty Bird Records, Claude VonStroke. Known around the world as the mastermind of quirky, yet fluid dancefloor minimalism, Claude VonStroke combines oozing, deep percussion with precisely-timed sonic oddities -- such as evil laughs, clucks, and whistles. VonStroke's sets are positively grooveworthy.
Also joining the Abstract Fest, Steve Duda, Tim Green, Designers, Skrillex, and the late addition of Excision. Other notable names joining this incredible sonic explosion include David Kim, Trackonaut, Justin Baule and my personal favorite, local deckmaster Jon Dadon. If you're a fun-loving, enthusiastic individual -- over 18 years of age -- get your tickets here and prepare to get lost with some of the world's best sonic magicians.
