UCSD Soccer's Ready Set Clip Goes Viral

The Ready Set will perform at the Epicentre in Mira Mesa on Saturday.  Their debut studio album, I’m Alive, I’m Dreaming, which was released in March -- with it's first single, "Love Like Woe” -- becoming an instant hit.

What began as a project for Jordan Witzigreuter (vocals and drummer) has turned out to be a mainstay on the music scene. Witzigreuter is the Ready Set -- there aren’t any other members in the band. The singer/songwriter has written for and performed with Fall Out Boy, Never Shout Never and Ryan Cabrera

The album debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart, powered by the “Love Like Woe” pop/hip-hop influenced dance track. The song has garnered The Ready Set many fans, including the UCSD Men’s Soccer Team, whose love for the track inspired a very cleverly made video that has gone viral on YouTube:

The handsome jocks definitely showed their love and appreciation for the song, filming footage while in multiple locations. The clip starts in a hotel room and then shows the team on a nearly empty airplane, impressively lip-syncing the opening verse. Watching the other passengers, who aren’t disturbed by the intrusion, is hilarious. The carrot-top and sunglass-wearer were the comical personalities in the video. The editing is great, and the result is quite impressive.

The Ready Set absolutely approves of the video -- Witzigreuter retweeted the video link on Nov. 10 to his followers.

Tickets are still available for Saturday's show at the Epicentre.  The UCSD Men's Soccer team just may make an appearance. Hey Monday is the headliner, with Cartel and This Century also performing.
