Star Wars, Nothing But Star Wars …

Luke, I'm your father, and I'm at the Sports Arena.

Star Wars fans, unite! Star Wars in Concert, produced by Lucasfilm, lands at the San Diego Sports Arena on Friday night (7 p.m.). With a churro doubling as a light saber in hand, I will be attending the multimedia spectacular with my son, a new fan.

A touring production, Star Wars in Concert features a full symphony orchestra performing the music of composer John Williams in sync with scenes from the entire Star Wars saga (unfortunately, Jar-Jar included). On StarWarsInConcert.com, Williams says, "The editors at Lucasfilm have created original film montages to accompany each of the musical selections, and in the process, I believe that a singular and unique Star Wars experience has been born."

The clips, projected on a three-story high-def LED screen, will be narrated by the great Anthony Daniels, 64, better known as the droid C-3PO. If that doesn't bring the fans out in "force" (pun intended), the tour includes a mini-Star Wars exhibit, complete with memorabilia/collectibles from the films. SOUNDDIEGO
