It can be so challenging coming off a holiday weekend and trying to get back into the swing of things, especially since we all know that a holiday generally means you just have to pack more work into fewer days, amiright? The good news is that our music scene carries on (mostly) without regard to holidays. Tuesday you have some pretty decent music choices around town, including Canada's Young Empires at the Casbah and punk duo Diet Cig, who have the seemingly rare honor of being named a band to watch by the music snobs at Pitchfork. Radio Halloran hosts locals at the Merrow, The Fink Bombs get down with Tiki Tuesday, and the Observatory hosts hip-hop and funk. The secret gem of the night, however, just might be Steve 'n' Seagulls from Finland, who turn metal and hard-rock songs into country and bluegrass gems.
