It has been a wicked week of music and Thursday is no exception. J Mascis will no doubt break out his signature silver high-tops as Dinosaur Jr. returns to the Belly Up. They've been playing huge venues and festivals all summer, so we're pretty lucky to see the band at the Solana Beach venue. If somehow you've never seen Dinosaur Jr., they have this amazing way of keeping their songs upbeat and melodic while also completely blowing the lid off of venues with their grinding guitars. Earplugs are recommended.

Over at the Soda Bar, there's a trifecta of indie-pop bands that will surely bring out all the cool kids, and oveer at Bar Pink, jazz enthusiasts can get their fix with the Applebrown Jazz Ensemble featuring saxophonist Gabriel Sundy. Down at the Casbah, fans of AFI went nuts scooping up tickets for their electro side project, Blaqk Audio, so if you don't have a ticket, I'd avoid Kettner and Laurel at all costs. No matter your choice, Thursday truly offers something for everyone.
