Cy Curnin and Jamie West-Oram of the Fixx perform at the VH1 Save The Music Presents "Songwriters in the Round: Generations 3: The Best of the '80s." at the China Club on Nov. 4, 2004, in New York City.
One of San Diego's most legendary bands is performing Wednesday at the Casbah. Though Three Mile Pilot just recently performed at the Belly Up, it turns out a they have a friend in need so they pulled together a solid lineup as a fundraiser. This one is going to be good and is going to sell out, so be sure to get there early. If that doesn't tickle your fancy, however, this could be night that's heavenly for anyone who grew up in the '80s. Belinda Carlisle, who was successful with the Go-Go's but later went on with a solo career with radio-friendly hits like "Heaven Is a Place On Earth," is at 4th & B and should be a fun throwback, while over at Anthology, the Fixx bring back their legacy of '80s greatness with songs like "Red Skies" and "Saved By Zero." In the indie world, you still have A B & the Sea at Tin Can and, over at Lestat's, Kelsea Little, who is hopefully fully recovered from being hit by a car last week as she walked to work.
