It bums me out that the top of my listings are a show cancellation, but Justin Townes Earle was in a recent altercation at a show in Indianapolis and entered rehab, resulting in the cancellation of his tour. Part of overcoming his battle with addiction and his attempt at recovery is letting people know that he's an addict and is attempting sobriety. There was a news release, and as the media, we were actually asked to spread the word. Sadly this means the Casbah will be closed tonight, but the good news is that Commune has a show over at the Whistle Stop that will please your earholes, local boy Greg Laswell returns to town in support of Sara Bareilles at the House of Blues, and Blues Traveler take over the Belly Up. If all of that is too soft for you, head over to Soda Bar for some metal.
