This is possibly the busiest music day of this whole month, and I don't know how people are supposed to choose between all of the great music tonight. For one, the little band who grew from playing a weekly Casbah residency to now playing the biggest venues across the country, Imagine Dragons take the stage at Mattress Firm Amphitheatre. Joined by Grouplove and K. Flay, it will be quite the rager for beginning of the fall season. Meanwhile, the enchanting and talented Perfume Genius returns to San Diego with a show at House of Blues, and Canadian brother-and-sister duo Tennyson play an all-ages show at the Irenic. On top of all of those, local singer-songwriter Marie Haddad celebrates an album release at Humphreys Backstage Live, and Lauren Ruth Ward comes to the Casbah. It's a great night to kick off the weekend early.
