Menomena is one of those bands that has seen its fair share of blog love and indie buzz over the years, but with former member Brent Knopf no longer in the lineup (he has moved on to focus on Ramona Falls), the future of Menomena was definitely under scrutiny.

Fortunately, Menomena's latest, Moms, has proved to be just as great if not greater than previous material. This is one of those bands that seems to appreciate our city ... in the past, it has performed private shows, in-store performances at record shops and even a foosball tournament. On Friday, our city can return the love when the band returns to the Casbah. While tickets are still available, this has the potential to sell out with the walk-up crowd, so if you plan on checking out the show, get there earlier in the night to guarantee entry.
