LAS VEGAS - AUGUST 17: Fans react as Poison performs during a sold-out show at the Pearl concert theater at the Palms Casino Resort August 17, 2007 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The rock group is touring in support of the new album of cover songs, "Poison'd!" (Photo by Ethan Miller/Getty Images)

It's my birthday, and I fully intend to spend the next three or four days destroying or being destroyed by this town. While I'll be at A.A. Bondy, Scott McDonald did such a fun interview that I thought I'd highlight another show that makes decision-making especially hard tonight. Release the Sunbird is playing at Soda Bar. The band is the side-project of Zack, lead vocalist of Rogue Wave, and the album is haunting and beautiful, as one would expect with his vocal tone. After seeing Rogue Wave numerous times on massive stages, it's killing me that he's playing the same night as A.A. Bondy, because I would certainly be at both shows if I could. You can decide for yourself, however difficult that choice might be.
