Sounds Like San Diego: September 27

Foster the People return to San Diego for jam-packed Saturday

Traditionally, the final weekend of September is one of the most jam-packed and awesome of the year -- and much of that can be attributed to the always-incredible Adams Avenue Street Fair. With Casbah's Tim Mays helping out with booking, you can be sure the weekend lineup will deliver, whether you drop in for an hour or two or stay the whole weekend. Keep an eye out for the grand opening of the Rabbit Hole, which has taken over the location vacated by Heights Tavern. Meanwhile, in Golden Hill, Tour De Fat returns with their free bicycle celebration and live music headlined by Beats Antique. By night, there are tons of options, including the Pixies at Humphrey's, Schitzophonics at Casbah, and my pick of the night, Foster the People at RIMAC Arena. Few bands work harder at nurturing their fan base than Foster the People, who make several appearances in the same markets to make sure they're never forgotten. San Diego is lucky to have them back.
