    NEWSLETTERS

I love a free party, and I love checking out new community spaces, and Thursday's event at Silo accomplishes both. The event is being called the Lagunitas Couch Trippin' tour, and the idea (besides branding their incredible craft beer) aims to bring up-and-coming bands to various craft-beer hot spots across the country, so it's not hard to guess why we're in the list of just a half-dozen locations. I'm a big fan of Jamestown Revival, and Houndmouth has proven to be quite capable of working fans into a frenzy, so this is definitely a must-do tonight. The event is at Silo, aka Maker's Quarter, an outdoor space at 15th & F. It is a 21+ event, and space is limited, so get on the list early. After that, you can keep the party going at the Casbah with Clairy Browne & the Bangin' Rackettes. If you're downtown-averse, King Tuff perform at The Irenic, or the For the Sender project returns with a show at Java Joe's.
