Sounds Like San Diego: Sept. 24

The weekend is getting close -- though not close enough -- but you can get over the hump of the week with some exciting shows on Wednesday in San Diego. For starters, Interpol are back! With a sold-out show at the House of Blues, you can be sure to see a who's who of music fans in support of the new album, which is one of their best. If you're not holding tickets, you're not without hope, as there are plenty of other options: Commune Wednesday hits Soda Bar this month, headlined by James Supercave, the Midnight Pine play sweetly to the whisky crowd at Seven Grand, and Odessa Kane performs down the block at U-31. My sights are set on LP at the Casbah, as the unique vocal stylings of this Brooklyn singer have garnered media praises far and wide. Still, plenty of choices to make this Wednesday as chill or b---s to the wall as you'd like
