Sounds Like San Diego: September 17

Prolific Alabama songwriter Jason Isbell brings his indie-rock to the Casbah on Tuesday

If the name Jason Isbell is familiar to you, it is probably because of his former band, Drive by Truckers. His band from Muscle Shoals, Alabama, are the likely reason for indie kids taking notice of the region's music. Isbell also credited with launching the career of Alabama Shake, who toured with the Truckers. He's quite incredible and a prolific singwriter, so his show at the Belly Up should certainly be a treat. Around town, locals Ed Ghost Tucker are pretty great and worth seeing at the Griffin; Body Language perform at the Casbah, and Rose Windows, another great SubPop band, headline Soda Bar.
