The Sea of Cortez return to the Casbah, taking the main stage this time around.
The last time Sea of Cortez was in San Diego, they played in the Atari Lounge at the Casbah, and it was a challenge to find a space to see the band. They got a huge crowd response and as such were invited back for their own headlining date. With openers Gran Sasso and Grand Tarantula, this should prove to be an epic night of band discovery. You'll be glad you saw the bands before everybody is talking about them.
There are some other great options aound San Diego tonight, too, with Stephen Kellogg and the Sixers being joined by Audra Mae at the Belly Up, a great alt-country night over at U-31, a Sezio mixer featuring Pretty Too Bad at Riviera in La Mesa, and the sweet tunes of the Damon Castillo Band, as frequently featured on KPRI, over at Anthology.
