Sounds Like San Diego: Oct. 8

Get in on the Chromeo-induced crowd sweat and relive those Sweet 16 dreams with Mark Gardener of Ride on Wednesday

The musical feast that is the San Diego music scene just keeps on delivering. Tonight catch Chromeo at Soma as they make the crowd dance, sweat and forget about their lives for just a couple hours. After seeing the group earlier this year at Outside Lands, I can attest that these aren't just guys pushing buttons onstage, but rather working their butts off -- live instruments and all -- to bring a party not to be forgotten. Meanwhile, a throwback to my youth appears as Mark Gardener of Ride headlines the Casbah. I can't even tell you how much I loved Ride back in the day, and this is definitely an exciting show for the 16-year-old girl still locked inside me. The city is full of great options tonight, so get off the couch and get over that mid-week hump with some live music.
