Sounds Like San Diego: Oct. 8

This weekend is going to be jam-packed with music, especially with the second installment of Crssd Festival this year, but if you feel like getting your weekend kicked off a little bit early, Thursday night has plenty to offer. Two Canadian bands go head to head, with the boogie rock of the Sheepdogs at the Casbah facing off against the art rock of Braids at Soda Bar. If the spirit of the earth and the positive vibrations run deep in your veins, Xavier Rudd & the United Nations will be performing at the Observatory, while the Hideout will be plenty rowdy with Texas' Riverboat Gamblers. If you want to keep it mellow on the acoustic tip, Tyrone Wells appears solo at Lestat's, and Gregory Page continues a Thurday night residency at Java Joe's.
