I feel like this week has some big face-offs. Wednesday was Head and the Heart vs. Grouplove, and now Thursday sees Florence and the Machine vs. the Black Keys. I've seen both bands a handful of times and both deliver great live performances. The Black Keys have that bluesy edge to them while Florence will certainly make you feel empowered. The Black Keys are performing at Valley View Casino Center but Florence and the Machine are at Cricket Wireless Amphitheatre, so based on venue alone, I would go with the latter if I had to choose. Fortunately, I don't need to struggle with a decision because I'll be at the all-ages Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti show at the Irenic. You know me, I'll always take the small show over a stadium.
