If you haven't already headed out to an Oktoberfest celebration this weekend, today would be a great day to do it. My personal favorite has always been the traditional Oktoberfest at the German American Societies clubhouse, which skips the street-fair vibe and gets down to business with a beer garden and Guggenbach-Buam, a band flown over from Germany to entertain for the two weekend festival. There are always some tasty beer selections, and you can bring your own stein if you feel inclined. Grab a giant pretzel, get a plate of ox meat and leave your dignity at the door, because you will do the chicken dance. And you will like it. Prost!
