Sounds Like San Diego: Oct. 28

It is always fun to see musicians who have lucrative careers in bands come out and perform in intimate venues like the Casbah. Though Omar Rodriguez Lopez has seen great success with his bands the Mars Volta and At the Drive-In, obviously he has felt driven to embark as a solo artist, and on Sunday night, we get to enjoy that decision with a sold-out show. Up at Eleven, there's a full-on dance party with Baby Buffalo, Brainstorm and Keith Sweaty, and Soda Bar hosts a gritty rock show.
