A handful of years ago, someone highly recommended that I check out a show at the Casbah by a band called Carney. There was a pretty decent crowd for these brothers in a band and people were milling about the bar, but once they started, the patio cleared and every person in attendance was riveted by the incredible voices coming from the stage. It was no surprise then, that a short time later it was announced that Reeve Carney would be performing in "Spiderman" on Broadway. Despite that production being plagued with issues, Reeve Carney's career has still followed a pretty great tragectory. He's playing San Diego fresh off a performance in Fox's remake of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" and will be at Austin City Limits Live this weekend. Joined by former San Diegan Josh Damigo, you don't want to miss this show. Around town, Parkway Drive plays House of Blues, Waldo is at Soda Bar, and Ziggy Marley plays his second night at the Belly Up.
