New Dangerbird Records signees and local act, the Frights

If you thought this week was overwhelming with shows, then you'll be paralyzed by all of the options on Saturday. Hinds is this buzzy indie-rock band that is storming the satellite charts and it's only a matter of time before you hear them on commercial radio. Until then, catch them at the Irenic. Meanwhile, FIDLAR return to town for a show at the Observatory, with support from the new Dangerbird Records signees and local act, the Frights. Of Monsters and Men are at the OAT, and Janet Jackson is a parking lot away at Viejas Arena. Chad Valley plays the Hideout down the street from Horse Feathers at Soda Bar, and El Ten Eleven play the first of two nights at the Casbah. Of course, among all of those things, pop by the Besties party at the Reuben H. Fleet, even if they did kill the Best Local Music Blog category. There will be great music plus food and drink from some of the bar and restaurant winners.
