It used to be that people in my circles complained about there being nothing to do in San Diego. I hope that, day after day, these listings prove otherwise. The new problem, however, is that there's just too much good stuff to choose from, and unfortunately the segment of San Diegans who regularly support live music just can't afford to be out every night sustaining this kind of scene. Hopefully there are still enough people to spread around, because this Wednesday is full of great shows.
Stars lead an indie rock lineup at House of Blues, while ZZ Ward performs at Soda Bar. Up at the Belly Up, Allen Stone returns for a show that was just a few tickets shy of selling out at press time, Tony Lucca (as seen on The Voice) performs at Anthology and the Whigs perform at the Griffin. If you are on a budget, locals Crash & the Burns and Zozo Fiasco will be playing a free show at the Casbah.
