Wayne Coyne of Flaming Lips will be having a ball at Crssd Fest on Saturday at Waterfront Park.

II'm sure that, like many of you, I'm just trying to keep cool this weekend, but sometimes you just have to surrender to the sun, decide to wear as little as possible and just enjoy the fact that summer has extended itself. One way to do that this weekend is at Crssd Fest. It's funny that the inauguraul event in the spring saw similar temperatures. Try and keep cool in the fountains and enjoy a festival that celebrates electronic music and can still appeal to people like me, who need to see a band play live to really get my groove on. With the ultimate rock weirdos, Flaming Lips, headlining, this is going to be one awesome day from top to bottom. Of course, this isn't for everyone, so there's still OB and El Cajon Oktoberfests, Vinyl Junkies Record Swap at the Casbah, and some  fun shows after dark, including Redd Kross at Soda Bar, Downs Family a the Ken Club, and And So I Watch You From Afar at the Casbah.
