When I recommend shows here on SoundDiego, I try to keep my self-promotional tendencies to a minimum. I genuinely hope San Diegans support live music and stay active to keep so many amazing touring bands coming through our city while also nurturing the local talent pool. But this time, I'm going to promote myself a little, as we celebrate the seven-year anniversary of my music site, San Diego: Dialed In. When I first decided to channel my music passion within a website, I had no idea it would someday be my full-time job. In fact, I was just passing time at a "real" job back then. These days, I'm proud to say we're still going strong, with myself and some friends sharing our love of music and of our hometown. In fact, I wouldn't be writing for NBC were it not for starting that blog so long ago. Come celebrate with us as the locals of the Heavy Guilt and Grandpa Drew get the night going while Chicago's amazing Rubblebucket headline the night. It's going to be a really fun night, and, of course, I'll be there beaming as I think back over seven years of amazing music, friendships and the incredible supportive music lovers who allow me to do what I do every single day.
