What a week! Election Day is finally behind us and it has become apparent that having San Diego Beer Week during the election is no accident. Whatever your leanings, we can all just agree that San Diego has an incredible amount of live music offerings for this humpday.

Carina Round performs with Rosi Golan at Anthology while the Paragraphs lead a local lineup at the Belly Up. My buddy Benny Marchant, a singer/songwriter from L.A., will be coming to town to play at the Griffin, while Nick Waterhouse performs with the Amandas at the Casbah.

With all of these options, it's hard to pick a show of the night, but both Brandi Carlile and Blitzen Trapper have spent years pounding the pavement and it's great to see the two performing on the same bill at the House of Blues, which should be pretty special. With Brandi's diverse fanbase and strong ties to the LGBT community, this night should be extra celebratory after last night's election results.
