    NEWSLETTERS

Soft Lions celebrate the release of their latest EP, "XOXO," at the Hideout on Friday with Nobunny and the Fresh Brunettes.

This week was kind of weird because we had the feeling of a holiday with Halloween on a Monday (but without the day off from work), so I don't know about you, but the weekend couldn't come soon enough. At the Casbah, everyone's favorite DIY band, King Khan & BBQ Show, will once again slay earholes of their adoring fans, while you can expect Nobunny to create a similar spectacle in his tighty whities at the Hideout (with Soft Lions along for their record release). '90s songstress Jill Sobule of "I Kissed A Girl" fame (long before Katy Perry ever sang the same lyric) will be at Brick 15 in Del Mar, and Pansy Division bring "gay rock" to Soda Bar. In other words, I couldn't be more happy that today is Friday.
