Sounds Like San Diego: November 29

Tonight is a mixed bag of musical gems. Jason Mraz performs his second sold-out night at Spreckels, the post-punk instrumental powerhouse Russian Circles take over the Casbah, and Boston electronic masters Freezepop are over at the Soda Bar. There are also some amazing private promotional radio shows happening around town today, so if you're lucky enough to win tickets for Snow Patrol from KPRI or Radio Sophie, all I can say is that I am jealous and am available if you need a plus-one. The band's new record comes out in January, but advances have already been all over the internet, and if you've sneaked a listen, you know it is fantastic and stays true to the band's anthemic sound. I'm pretty sure I'll be spending most of my day trying to figure out how to get in on the action.
