Good Day To You, Sir

Sir Sly Returns

If there are momentous times for music in San Diego, like the entire month of October, then conversely there is what I like to think of as the great slow-down. The holidays are just around the corner, so fewer bands tour, people pinch pennies for holiday shopping, and let's face it, any slight change in weather and we get a little finicky. Don't let this happen to you! There are still great shows to enjoy and parties galore between now and New Year's, and you don't want to miss out. Tonight, I'm pretty excited for the return of Sir Sly to the Casbah.

The band played a four week residency at the venue earlier this year, and they're gaining steam and can regularly be heard on satellite radio and they're getting their share of blog worship. I think I made it to three of the four shows in February, and I can tell you this band is awesome live and their performance is top notch. By now, I'm hoping they've honed their skills at connecting with their audience, but maybe they just let the music speak for itself. Fair enough...it speaks loud enough.
