Being behind the scenes at the Casbah the last few years, I've learned a lot about booking and the method to the madness of running a rock club. It isn't very often that the Casbah will book tribute or cover bands, because original music is encouraged and nurtured. There are a few exceptions, however, and one of them is Cash'd Out. The Johnny Cash tribute band has long been revered as one of the best tributes in the city -- as evidenced by its multiple San Diego Music Awards -- and couldn't be more appropriate for what many consider the busiest bar night of the year. Be safe, take a cab, enjoy the music and nurse your hangover with a great Thanksgiving. I'll be taking the day off Thursday but will be back with your weekend shows on Friday.
