    NEWSLETTERS

Huge thanks to everyone who came out to SoundDiego LIVE last night at Seven Grand, and for those of you who got three hours of Pearl Jam, we'll catch you next time around, but hopefully you didn't spend all of your energy, because this weekend has a lot of great shows for your musical needs. Friday's big-deal show is New York's the Obits, featuring former San Diegan Rick Froberg of Drive Like Jehu, Hot Snakes and Pitchfork. Along with a new Rob Crow (Pinback) project opening the show, this is going to certainly bring out veterans of the San Diego music scene. I hear Pearl Jam has a day off in town, so maybe even Eddie will drop by. Other great shows  include Noah Gunderson up at the Loft, Shake Before Us and Flaggs at Soda Bar, and Dr. Seahorse at the Griffin. It is a good weekend of music, indeed, so don't let weather or sleep deprivation keep you home.
