Sounds Like San Diego: Nov. 19

Who thought Wednesday would be so full of awesome shows? Just a couple years ago, Bastille first got spins on satellite radio with only an EP behind them. A few months later, and after selling out the House of Blues locally, the dams broke open, and not only were they on every alternative station, but Triple A, Top 40 and adult contemporary stations played the heck out of the band ... as they did to Mumford and Sons, the Lumineers and Imagine Dragons. So maybe Bastille are a little too mainstream for you, but I have to say the music is fantastic and these are amazing live performers, even if radio plays them side-by-side with Pitbull and Jessie J. Meanwhile, Cold War Kids have new music out and return to San Diego for a sold-out show at the Belly Up. They recently played a private show in town, and it was pretty awesome, so if you didn't get tickets to this one, grab tickets for their spring show at the North Park Theatre. On the local side of things, Flaggs have a big release show at the Casbah, and you can bet that anyone who is anyone in the current music scence witll be there.
