Sounds Like San Diego: November 11

San Diego Music Thing takes over tonight -- but it's not the only show in town

For numerous reasons, this week has just been exhausting, so it's about time the weekend is here so maybe we can all just get out and realize life is still moving right along. This weekend San Diego Music Thing will take over several venues in North Park as well as Music Box, the Merrow and Casbah, so you could potentially see a lot of music this weekend (read the SoundDiego preview here). Some of the highlights will be the Flim Flam Revue at the beautiful ChuckAlek Biergarten, Har Mar Superstar at the Casbah, Rob Crow's Gloomy Place at Bar Pink, and Health at the Music Box. Touche Amore play the Irenic, Johnette Napolitano of Concrete Blonde is at the Office, and Open Mike Eagle performs a late set at Bar Pink. Of course, it's not all SDMT, with the Widows at Black Cat, Sleigh Bells at the Observatory, and Diarrhea Planet at Soda Bar. Music might not save the world, but it can be pretty good for an escape, even for a little while.
