Father John Misty headlines at the House of Blues on Friday at a Casbah Presents show.

May I just take a minute to say I cannot believe it is already November! We're still experiencing hot and dry days here in San Diego, but it's almost time to break out the scarves and gloves, and bundle up as the foggy nights set in. Along with San Diego Beer Week, there's certainly reason to get out of the house as there are some pretty great shows all over town. Kevin Devine returns to San Diego with a show at Soda Bar, while Schitzophonics will slay the Casbah. Mellowhigh is at Porter's Pub for the kids, and Tourist entertains at Bang Bang. Of course, I'm a fan of the Tillman family, so I will no doubt be enjoying the cheeky, sexy, and sassy jams of Father John Misty at the House of Blues. It's not often a comedian opens a concert, but for this show it seems to totally make sense. Lots of good stuff coming your way on Friday and throughout the weekend.
