Sounds Like San Diego: November 21, 2011

I love that there has been a resurgence of old soul music for the modern generation. With artists like Fitz & the Tantrums, Charles Bradley and Aloe Blacc, even the indie kids have a lot of options. Locally, the Styletones and Lady Dottie have been at the front of the pack for a long time, and tonight you should certainly get out your dancing shoes for Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings. The band returns to San Diego's House of Blues, and if you've never seen Sharon command the stage, you've been missing something fierce. You'll have nothing but a good time, and from what I hear, there will be plenty of tickets available at the box office. On a separate note, the Death Grips show at the Casbah has been canceled and the club will stay closed tonight.
