While some weekends call for raging, it seems fitting that after Thanksgiving, the Casbah will turn it down a notch for the return of Crooked Fingers. That's not to say the band can't rock out, but its most memorable moments are also its most vulnerable, and when Eric Bachmann returns to the stage, you're sure to fall under his spell. As the frontman for Archers of Loaf, Bachmann was highly regarded in the indie rock world, and up till now, his releases have been sporadic, so a fan never knew if a release might be the last ever. Fans hung on, however, and he's back, performing as Crooked Fingers and also thrilling indie-rock diehards with an Archers of Loaf tour in 2011. Maybe tonight, he'll bring a little of both.
