Every year -- and sometimes twice a year -- Rocky Votolato loads up his car (or van if he decides to bring a band) and heads out on a tour that sweeps through the West Coast. He spends most of the year on the road and I feel lucky to live in a city to which he repeatedly returns. There is no touring musician that I've seen more than Rocky, and his records have been consistently great. His latest, Television of Saints, is his first self-released album since parting with Barsuk Records, and was completely fan-funded. As such, Television of Saints feels like there's just that much more heart, soul and passion in the recording. If you've seen him live, I know you'll be at his show on Monday night. If you haven't, now is your chance to meet your next favorite musician.
