Sounds Like San Diego: May 4

Due to some unknown technical glitch, my listings from Friday were late being published, but, fortunately, Robin Roth did a great weekend summary to cover some of the bases. Judging by all of the Tweets and Facebook posts, Prince delivered with two amazing shows on Friday night, and as far as of this posting, you can still pony up the cash to see him at one of his two shows on Saturday at the Legends Ballroom at the Hard Rock Hotel. Though I won't be there to revel in his majesty, I'm pretty excited to be seeing legends of another sort over at Brick By Brick, as Killing Joke hit San Diego with their Singles Collection 1979-2012 tour. The Casbah hosts Canada's indie rockers Born Ruffians for a solid lineup, and you can get your alt-country on with the local flair of El Monte Slim et al at Soda Bar. Of course, with Sunday being the fifth, plenty of Cinco De Mayo celebrations are sure to catch some attention, too. Be safe and get a DD, and enjoy another musical weekend in San Diego.
