There are so many cool things going on in San Diego, it's hard to know where to even begin. It's Fiesta Del Sol up in Solana Beach so you can catch some of your favorite Belly Up artists among the stages of the street fair, while farther south, you can drop by Karl Strauss in Pacific Beach for a free event with Blackout Party and Low Volts. There's a paella festival at the Embarcadero, a foodie and beer event at Silo, and PB Jamfest goes on all day at 710. Of course I'm looking forward to the night life, with the worst name but possible most awesome band you'll ever witness, Diarrhea Planet, playing at the Casbah. Five guitars just shredding should make this a band on your radar. Otherwise, Steve Poltz plays an intimate show at Java Joe's, Behind the Wagon rock the Ken Club, and Pig Pen Theatre Co. return to Soda Bar.
