Sounds Like San Diego: May 3

Explosions in the Sky light up San Diego at the Observatory Tuesday

Sometimes it can't be helped when bands within a certain genre play on the same night, and you either have to choose your favorite or try and make it to more than one show. But Tuesday is ridiculous. Why Explosions in the Sky and Tortoise are playing on the same night at different venues is beyond me. Throw in Swede's Dungen playing at the Casbah and you've got some decisions to make. I shouldn't make it sound so bad, because these are good problems for a music scene to have. Additionally Quiet Life are at the Merrow, Pentatonix are at OAT, and Kid Congo is at Soda Bar.

Tuesday, May 3:

  • Explosions In the Sky, Disappears @ The Observatory North Park
  • Tortoise, Fell Runner @ Belly Up
  • Dungen, Boogarins @ Casbah
  • Kid Congo Powers & the Pink Monkey Birds, The Heartaches, Cruz Radical @ Soda Bar
