    NEWSLETTERS

A Throwback Thursday shot of Transfer, who seem to be playing their final area show for quite a while, at the Casbah on Thursday.

Many of us have been looking forward to Neutral Milk Hotel for months, and no doubt the sold-out show will be full of us indie rock 30-somethings holding on to our 20s. It will certainly be a great show, but Thursday might be the time to get sentimental. For many years now, Transfer have been playing their hearts out, whether performing at the Casbah, the Belly Up, an outdoor festival or on the road across the U.S. or the UK. According to band members, this could be the only San Diego show this year, and rumors suggest it could be the last before an indefinite hiatus. We hope that it isn't true, but head to the Casbah to bid adieu to our longtime friends in Transfer before they journey to Napa to play at Bottle Rock. Joining them at the Casbah will be Wild Wild Wets, Madly and the New Kinetics.
