It was almost six months ago to the day that Morrissey performed in San Diego County. The sold-out show with opener Kristeen Young was at the California Center for the Arts in Escondido. For those of us who missed that chance to see him, Morrissey returns on Tuesday night, and I'm starting to get the feeling that he must really love our city because it also happens to be his birthday. The show takes place at the Valley View Casino Center, which is great because it's where I saw Moz for the first time when I was 14 years old, back when it was just the Sports Arena. The legendary performer still has one of the most distinct and noted voices in alternative rock and I'd say there's no better way to spend your Tuesday night. But there are other shows and you really have some great options all over town.
