Sounds Like San Diego: May 2

On their first tour in eight years, the Subways ride on into Casbah Monday

For many in San Diego with service industry jobs, Monday is actually the start of the "weekend," so it's great when there are quality shows and events on Monday nights. This is one of the great ones, with UK's the Subways playing the Casbah for their first tour in eight years, in support of the self-titled fourth record. Manchester's all-female Pins opens the show, and they're amazing (in case you missed them just a couple months back). Meanwhile, Soda Bar has Tigerman Woah, and Baby Bash and MC Magic play the Observatory. Per usual, the busiest spot tonight will definitely be the Office, as the Grand Old Office regulars pay tribute to my all-time favorite songwriter, Ryan Adams. I can only hope they skip the Swift stuff.
