The drum beat of the weekend's approach slowly pounds, but why look ahead when tonight is already so awesome? There are all kinds of genres covered around town, including '90s acts O-Town at Music Box and Filter at House of Blues. Belly Up soaks up the reggae vibe with Fortunate Youth, and Chief Keef continues a streak of hip-hop shows at the Observatory. The big show to catch tonight is a little under the radar, with Andy Hull and Kevin Devine at the Irenic. Those names might not necessarily stand out on their own, but Andy Hull is the mesmerizing lead vocalist of Manchester Orchestra and Kevin Devine is a singer/songwriter in his own right, but together they have released records as Bad Books. Tonight, they'll be playing music from both of their careers and their collaborative material, too. This one is definitely a top pick for the night.
