There are so many great shows in town on Friday night, but since Clap Your Hands Say Yeah is already sold out, I'd like to focus on a new venue. Kitty Diamond is opening its doors, and while the location is newly owned, it might feel like old times. Located at what used to be the Flame, the space was bought by Erika Jessup and made into a whole new destination. With the help of Gabe Vega and his Feel the Noise crew, there will be DJ's in one room while bands perform in the other. With the Blackout Party headlining this shindig, you're going to want to check it out on Friday and keep an eye out as the venue grows and evolves with special events. Technically this is still a soft opening, but you'll want to be there from the beginning for what's certain to be another bright spot in San Diego's ever-expanding musical landscape.
