Black Angels Land at the Beach

I don't know about you, but after such a great weekend, I am completely and utterly wiped out. That doesn't mean I'll be relaxing on a couch tonight, however, because there are great shows all around, with the many-layered Joan of Arc playing the Casbah, the psychedelic rock of the Black Angels melting faces at the Belly Up, and the sweet vocals of Matt Alber at Soda Bar. I might opt for the guy with the guitar because I'm feeling pretty mellow, but know that one way or another, I'll be out for another night of live music.

Monday May 16:

  • Anti-Monday League presents Joan of Arc, Airwaves, Street of Little Girls @ Casbah
  • The Black Angels, Sleepy Sun @ Belly Up
  • Matt Alber, Drew Andrews, Roll Film @ Soda Bar
  • Taking Back Monday, with Maluca (Mad Decent), Von Kiss, Saul Q @ U-31
  • Make Believe Monday, with Stevie and the Hi-Stax, DJ Mean Hands @ Bar Pink
  • New Artist Showcase, Brian and Craig @ Eleven
  • April Ventura @ Riviera Supper Club
  • Dirty Mondays, with DJ Gabe Vega @ The Saloon (Encinitas)
  • Suicide State @ Ruby Room
  • Trent Hancock @ Tiki House
  • Robin Henkel @ Humphreys Backstage Live
