Pearl Jam's Mike McCready is one busy guy. Along with his lengthy career in one of the biggest bands of my generation and several side projects, he's also a husband, a father and -- since being diagnosed with Crohn's disease at the age of 21 -- an advocate for the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America. Flight to Mars is McCready's tribute band to '80s rockers UFO, and though they usually just play in the Seattle area, this time are taking the show on the road to raise money and awareness for the CCFA Camp Oasis and Advocacy for Patients with Chronic Illness. That's really just a long way of saying that you get to see one of the great guitarists of our time in the super intimate space of the Casbah and you get to do something good merely by being there. Mistress of Reality and Vendetta Red round out what is certain to be a stellar night of music.
