Though I'll be working for Urge Overkill -- which I suspect will be a great show, since it's been many years since they've been through San Diego -- I've got to endorse two other great shows tonight. The first is a free show brought to you by Vice Magazine over at Til Two Club. Remember when the Muslims used to play basement house parties and cram people in to the Tower Bar? Well, their relationships in the local scene have stayed strong and loyal, and tonight the Soft Pack will be taking over with the curating of a show with a VERY SECRET GUEST. If you can't read between the lines on that one, I can't really help you. You have to RSVP to the show, so don't miss your opportunity to see our boys in the small confines of the Til Two Club.
The other set I would love for you to check out is Josh Damigo's monthly Friends With Benefits show. It's moved from Lestat's to Mueller College on Park Boulevard. Josh will be joined by the young and talented Tess Dunn, who, at 16, has written some incredibly moving lyrics as she struggles for life every day battling cystic fibrosis. Your support for this beautiful talent is highly encouraged.
