I feel like the goodness in this city just never ends. I look at today's events and really am amazed at how we truly have something for everyone. As I mentioned Friday, one of my favorite annual events is back. Now in its 11th year, Gator By the Bay has been one of the best growing festivals in the county. The music is infectious; whether traditional zydeco, cajun, blues or swing, it is hard not to get into the groove. One of the best things about Gator is the diversity of the audience, with everyone there to have a good time (and kids under 17 free with a paying adult), and it has become my family's Mother's Day tradition. The food also deserves a mention, with the famous crawfish boil, po boys and various delights like alligator tenders, this is a rare time to taste Louisiana's best, all in one spot in San Diego. Once the festival ends, there are great night options, including Devo at Humphreys, the Donkeys at Soda Bar, JD Samson & Men at Bar Pink, and AB & the Sea at Tin Can.
